How many purses should you have
Right now, I have over purses at home. I have donated and sold many that I no longer use too. Joined Nov 18, Messages 29, I have 8. But really only use about My LV Manhatten bag is my staple.. I have a black Prada that just replaced my old Marc Jacobs. For summer it's white Dolce and Gabanna which is no longer sold at Neiman's Grrrr. My DD turned 22 today. She got a new Gucci bag That was our big gift to her. Gosh we just had graduation too, so it's been costly in the gift department!!!
Joined Dec 16, Messages 5, Purses are my hobby I have about 28 and I will continue to buy, buy, buy until I burn out Joined Dec 29, Messages 12, I don''t know how many is too many, but I only have two real purses. Both are black. One is bigger than the other, and the smaller one is more like a clutch with straps. I have to admit that I''m not much of a purse person though. I do have a lot of canvas bags though. My favorite one could be considered suitable for everyday use as a very casual purse or messenger bag I suppose, but the others are just totes.
Joined Aug 3, Messages 9, Shoes and bags are not really my thing I have used it daily since then and it still looks almost brand-new. If and when it falls apart I will buy another Prada one as the quality is great. Joined Nov 7, Messages 6, I have a nylon shoulder bag, a cloth fossil bag, another target cloth bag, a beach bag it''s not really mine, it''s the families.
And a silver small bag with long strap, rare times I dressing up. I''d say you have too many bags when there is a problem storing them or differences with spouse with spending that much discretionary income on them. For example my husband would fill up our house with old records if I let him. Therefore he is allowed two long bookshelfs size area for them. If he wants more, has get rid of some. Placed similar restrictions on old books, comics, musical instruments, etc, not really for money reason but because I don''t want my house to become museum of the funky and old.
Joined Aug 17, Messages 1, I don''t understand the question. Joined Nov 2, Messages 1, I have more bags than some women, so y''all know which side I''m on!
But it''s so pretty. Joined Jan 7, Messages 1, No such thing. I think I have about 30? Only 5 or 6 in daily rotation and currently whilst travelling, 1 but I don''t think having lots is a problem if you can afford it and justify it in your own mind.
Joined Jun 25, Messages 3, According to my DH, 2 is too many. Sometimes I put a clutch in my big purse and he always comments on my "purse within a purse". Joined Aug 16, Messages 3, Purses are more function than fashion for me.
I hate changing out purses so I use the same one every day. I do get tired of them after a while or they wear out, so I usually buy one each spring and one each fall and use till I get a new one. I save my old ones and sometimes will go back to an old favorite, but after a while I give them away or sell in yard sales, etc.
But it can be used not only for shopping, as the name may suggest: it is well suited for everyday and even business looks - it all depends on the color and finish of the bag.
Wristlet is a small handbag with a strap that can be hung on your wrist. It does not fit a lot of things: documents, cosmetics, a hairbrush, a phone - it is unlikely that anything more will fit into it. But it is convenient for walking, visiting an amusement park or other active exits on weekends: just hang the handbag on your wrist and it will not bother you.
Envelope complements the festive or evening looks, looks stylish and interesting. Also, this bag usually does not have a strap, so be prepared that you can not let it out of your hands throughout the evening. Not the best travel solution. Foldover clutch is a very popular folding clutch model. This bag is more practical than the previous version, but also well emphasizes the festive look.
But it also does not have straps: you will have to carry it in your hands. Small handbag with clasps. One of the most capacious options: modern phones with large screens may not fit in it. But it will fit lipstick or mascara, so necessary for the evening party. A Flat bag will bring a casual touch to your look.

I agree. RU EN. Brand history. How many bags does a modern woman need? It's Fendace! What kind of bags exist? But there's nothing wrong with a collection of bags! Keep as many as you use and love, and for which you have space. Bags can really mix up a look, so I don't think there is a set number here. It's more about your personal need to remix up your look with a bag.
Striving for a more minimalized collection, now I am down to 13 bags. Still quite a few, but I swap them out less often weekly or biweekly instead of daily. I'll always have a few bags that sit. I like a seasonal bag for the summer months which sits the rest of the year. And a special occasion bag which is used only a couple times a year for dressy occasions. I really had to look at him funny for that one. Too many jeans?
I'll buy that. Too many cashmere sweaters? But too many bags? I think it depends on whether they are getting used. I probably have too many at only 6 or 7 because I really only use one for months at a time. I might switch to a clutch for an occassion, but then it's right back to the 'daily' bag the next day. My answer: as many as fit in your handbag storage space! Sorry if you're trying to get rid of some, but I really find bags useful as my main accessory, in place of scarves, jewelry, hats, shoes.
So I have way fewer of those things and have lots of bags. I don't think it's possible to have too many purses.
Oh I should show this thread to my husband, who still feels handbags are silly and a waste. What do I do to convince him that hand bags are great accessories? I always feel guilty about getting another bag, but I so want a big red one! Wow, you all are making me feel better.
I am NOT a bag lady, and I have about ten bags, which my husband thinks is crazy. Both my mom and MIL carry one pocketbook as they say back East until it dies, then replace it. I don't have the time or inclination to switch bags often, so I use one till I get bored, then switch out - maybe every three months.
Maybe if you have more bags than days of the year, it would be too much? Truth be told, I use only 4 handbags: office bag, cross body, Queen-of-England purse ok, I have two of these purses, also associated with Grace Kelly , and one shiny-leather black clutch. I have some shoulder bags, but I don't carry them often - you can't trek with them, they don't do for fancy, and they don't hold a laptop.
