Which tera class are you

All and all, both support classes in TERA are relatively similar. Priests are more of the true healers because of the more stacked defensive kit with healing, shielding, and other useful spells that are relatively easy to use. That being said, both of them can easily keep up in the endgame group content. Reaper is another damage-dealing class that's exclusive to Elins. They wear light armors and fight with a pair of scythes. Reaper is a medium-range DPS character — they get outranged by classes like Archer or Gunner, but they don't exactly have to enter the melee range of their opponents.

They rely on high mobility and dodging as the main defensive tools, and they have access to many AoE skills. The damage output of this class relies on combos. Players have to use their abilities in the right succession in order to optimize their DPS — it makes a massive difference in the case of Reaper. Besides the pure damage attacks both single-target and AoE , they also have access to some crowd control effects in the form of stuns and knock-downs.

It's a nice unique class for players who want to focus on damage as well as style. Slayer also is a combo-based DPS class. This character wears leather armor and wields a greatsword. Similarly to Reapers, Slayers have to be very mindful of their skill sequences. Their most powerful attacks can only be cast as combo finishers. It's another fun class that keeps the players on the edge of their seats with high paces combos and the necessity to dodge attacks.

Some of the most critical elements of your skill-chains are Knockdown Strike, Whirlwind, and Overhand Strike.

You also have access to a more powerful high-cooldown combo that features Eviscerate and Measured Slide. Slayer also has access to some CC and mobility tools, including Backstab, that repositions you behind your target.

Overall, Slayer is an interesting melee DPS class with a fun playstyle and beautifully designed animations. Sorcerer is a ranged magical DPS class. These characters wear cloth armors and use special weapons called discs to channel their spells. In terms of the general design, it's a pretty traditional caster class.

Sorcerers have a lot of damage and utility in their kits, and their magic is mostly based on the power of elements. The spells' reach is quite long, but they can still get outranged by Archers and Gunners. This class doesn't have any abilities that combo with each other, so the rotation should just focus on optimizing the damage output as well as managing cooldowns and mana costs.

Sorcerers also have some mobility and various defensive spells that allow them to immune incoming attacks. That being said, these characters still have to be careful with positioning, since they can die extremely quickly.

Valkyrie is a melee DPS class that wears leather armor and wields a Runeglaive. Her damage output comes from pulling off advanced combos and utilizing their unique Runemark mechanic. Most of her attacks apply these marks onto her targets. They can be stacked up to seven on a single enemy. Then, special skills like Shining Crescent and Runeburst can be used to detonate these Runemarks for a powerful burst of extra damage. Besides the high damage output, Valkyries can inflict a lot of useful crowd control effects.

They also have a powerful self-buff called Ragnarok. Their weaknesses come from the lack of consistency Ragnarok is powerful, but you have to stack it before using it and relatively weak defensive tools.

That being said, Valkyrie offers an engaging playstyle with a relatively severe difficulty, strong damage potential, and a lot of CC. This class is gender-locked - only Elins and female Castanic can play it - you must take it into account while creating your character! Lasr but not least, Warriors are another light-armored melee DPS class.

Their twin swords are incredibly short-ranged, but it's compensated with high damage and mobility of this class. These characters can easily dodge lots of incoming attacks. Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Change language. Install Steam. Showing 1 - 15 of 16 comments.

Valkyrie - Gigantic burst dmg, Difficulty to play: Moderate. Buff yourself with Ragnarok then spam with Maelstrom and Shining Crescent. Easy to fumble combo and lose tempo on DPS. I hear Archer is easy to solo with. Soul View Profile View Posts. Just try out classes until you find the one that suits your play style.

Some people will play higher dps classes and do low damage as they dont know how to use the class. Warrior has high dps and can also somewhat tank if you are a more experienced player, if you dont know how to tank dont try warior has high attack and pretty good defensive. Zimmm View Profile View Posts. Ninjas are a very mobile class focused on evading enemy attacks and chaining skills into combos, which can make them difficult to master.

They generate Chi, which can be used to trigger powerful abilities. The priest is a cloth armor class which specializes in a staff with long ranged supportive healing capabilities. Priests have various blessings and buffs to give, which enhance their allies' powers, and protective shields which can negate the damage before it happens. The Priest is considered the most powerful healing class, alongside the Mystic. The reaper is a leather-wearing class that uses dual chain scythes to dispatch their foes.

The reaper is mobile class that utilizes its chain scythes not only to damage, but also absorb health and whip across the battlefield. Reaper attacks utilize simple combos, but it also has a very complex system of buffs that you have to remember to use. Reapers begin at level 50, but you may only create a reaper if you have another class that is already level 40 on your server.

The Slayer is a lightly armored class which uses a giant Greatsword for melee offensive damage-dealing. As DPS class, slayer is meant to flank their enemies and attack from behind or the sides where they will hopefully not be hit. Many slayer attack skills resist damage, staggers and knockdowns while used, which makes the class much tankier that the armor type would tell. Slayer attacks are rather slow and deal massive damage. Class uses simple combos, which makes it quite easy to learn.

Even Slayer attacks are slow, they have rather good mobility with self-buffs for run speed, coupled with a ranged sword strike and backstabs. The Sorcerer is a cloth armored class which specializes in a Disc with ranged offensive damage-dealing capabilities.

Although they do have a wide variety of single-target spells, many of their skills are AoE or splash damage. They have in their arsenal many types of skills, from AoEs to slow moving fireballs to the ability to freeze a group of enemies, charged skills, traps, lock-in skills or skill to hit all targets within a 15 meter line. Although wearing cloth armor, Sorcerers are not that squishy, may be in par with archer, but definitely tankier than healers in cloth armor.

They also have superior dodges and ways to negate or absorb incoming damage. The Valkyrie is a close-combat specialist with a dual-focus of crowd control and burst damage. Warrior - Hard to use, even harder to master. This was one of my hardest classes to learn. You also have one so I'll give you details about it. You have to do so much math in head before you even begin attacking, it's insane.

Warriors gather "edges' by using different skills. When this edge is at 10, you'll use a skill named "Scythe" which will do damage based on the number of "edge" you had. Various skills add different amount of edge and that is the most tricky part. You constantly have to count where you're at and how the cooldowns are going along, or you'll have timeframes when you're just standing and doing nothing.

It's a fast and a high DPS class that only rewards players who can focus all the time. Their survivability is also great. Their iframe can be used multiple times and if it happens that you run out of RE to dodge, 1 backup iframe can save the day. Aaand now for your Mystic questions. Mystics are better options for higher party damage but also a bit harder to handle. There was a time when Mystic was buffed so hard that they can even do moderate dps, it's not the case anymore.

In harder dungeons you have no opportunity to high DPS and your main goal is to heal your party members and upkeep your buffs. Lastly, don't worry about which class to pick. If you fail to dodge something, you're most likely 1 hit anyways.

And if it's something easier then you won't die even in Cloth armor. Pick whatever you find interesting and have fun. Testing multiple classes on lower levels will not help you at all because they are very different compared to max level classes. Level 65 classes have more skills, more glyphs, more attack speed etc. To cut it short, you can't go wrong with whatever you pick.

Have to disagree with glacial on the valk difficulty. She is not easy to master. Getting your perfect dodges and keeping your rotation up while boss interrupts is at least medium difficulty. Valk is not a class for beginners cause you get punished harder as everyone else when you die. Archer is top tier right now bc he is easy to play and easy to master. Also extremly save for beginners. Would recommend Archer for every beginner who doesnt know any dugeon or how the game works. Warrior - Their iframe can be used multiple times and if it happens that you run out of RE to dodge, 1 backup iframe can save the day.

Warrior has not one backup iframe but 2. Backstab is also an iframe and in certain situations you could also use torrent of blows to block and survive attacks. Avalicia : What's your ping?
