Our horse jump poles are sold with a natural, painted, or striped finish. All painted poles are beveled on ends to prevent mildew rot. Our poles are primed and painted with 3 coats. Striped poles contain a total of 4 coats of paint. All of our jump poles are inspected and graded individually. For our premium rails, we use only the best lumber on the lot. The rest are sold as 2nds.

If cracks are present in our poles or horse jump standards , we fill them regardless if you are ordering unpainted or painted poles. We use an exterior cement filler that hardens, resists shrinkage and expansion, and can be sanded and painted. To extend the life of our horse jump poles , each end is beveled and thereby less likely to fracture than traditional poles with sharp edges. Our standards are always made with wood, not vinyl.
